ABOUT CAITLIN
Speaker + Writer + Coach
After working at ice cream shops, restaurants, hotels & resorts, a senior center, an architecture firm, a magazine publisher, movie sets, a marketing agency, a production/educational technology company, and a university career center, I have learned a lot about the importance of being able to communicate personal and professional stories. During that time, I have also studied everything from psychology and counseling to communication and leadership development.

In my over 20 years of work experience, I have written and edited copy in order to market everything from magazines and beverage campaigns to resume workshops and networking events. I have also worked with over 1,000 university students and working professionals to develop resumes, cover letters, and personal statements as well as review personality and strengths assessments to improve self-awareness and inter-office communication.
Overall, my mission in life is to help people better understand themselves and others. My hope is that self-awareness leads to emotional intelligence, that self-compassion leads to greater empathy, and that those things continue to reinforce one another in an endless cycle. I firmly believe that an intentional life can lead to a very fulfilling life, and, for me, that intentionality begins with awareness and a shared language for who we all are and why each of us is invaluable.
Educational Background
In 2009, I graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. I also completed two years in a graduate program for counseling there, during which time I learned about counseling theories in regard to individuals, groups, couples, families, and career planning. In 2016, I graduated from Chapman University with a master's degree in Leadership Development.

Along the way, I also completed coursework in acting and improvisation at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa and Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, which has greatly informed my work as a coach, speaker, and facilitator.
Since 2015, I have been an MBTI® Certified Practitioner, which means that I administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® assessment to help people discover more about their personality types and preferences. In addition, I have been a Gallup®-Certified Strengths Coach since 2016, so I utilize the CliftonStrengths® assessment to help individuals and teams identify and leverage their greatest strengths.
The Fun Stuff!
On a more personal note, I have been married since 2010 to my husband who is a firefighter paramedic, and we live in Nevada with our son. Between my husband and me, we have 10 siblings and over 25 nieces and nephews. People, relationships, and personality types are all big topics of conversation in our lives.

We also love to travel around the United States and internationally, and I have done a bit of solo traveling throughout Europe as well. I love anything and everything to do with French culture, and I spent a month in Paris in 2017 taking language classes. I also have a deep love of minimalism and essentialism, so we are constantly in a state of striving to live in alignment with what is most essential.

Overall, I love people and relationships, and nothing thrills me more than being able to share stories that touch on the heart of humanity and resonate with others. My goal is to help others discover who they are, just as I discover who I am in the process. I want to live a life of intention and be of service to my fellow humans. If anything I write or share can help someone feel more understood and less alone in this world, then I will count my time here as a success.
Thank you for being on this journey with me!
